The Auschwitz Birkenau Museum
was set up in the area of the Nazi concentration camps Auschwitz and Auschwitz II Birkenau in Oświęcim and Brzezinka, 3 km further. It is a shocking place of remembrance, the memory of the victims of World War II, who lived in the camps and were treated inhumane, beyond imagination. The tour takes about 3,5 hours. You will visit the museum alone with a guide book. Please bring your identity card or passport, entry only with ID / passport possible.
The Wieliczka Salt Mine
is a labyrinth of 300 km of underground walkways 700 years old in the area. An extremely valuable monument of material culture, the Salt Mine was one of the first objects on the UNESCO list of cultural and natural heritage in 1978. The tour of the Wieliczka Salt Mine takes about 2-3 hours on various alternative routes, including the popular tourist road and the extreme miners’ road. Guided tour with a local guide in German.
