The railway takes you to the top of Kasprowy Wierch (1959 m above sea level), the journey takes place with a modern cable car with cabins equipped with panoramic windows allowing you to enjoy the most beautiful mountain landscapes in Poland. The permanent exhibition is located in Zakopane, in a nineteenth-century cottage and shows the sources of the Zakopane style – the construction and equipment of highlanders’ cottages, as well as the nineteenth-century ethnographic collection. The exhibition is organized in two rooms. The black chamber, in which the life of a highlander family was concentrated in the past, is arranged in the same way as the chambers in the second half of the nineteenth century and the white chamber, serving as a salon in a highlander’s cottage.
